  • "Hawking" (10 p.m., PBS): This new documentary chronicles the remarkable life and career of British physicist Stephen Hawking. With contributions from the man himself, and plenty of interviews with interesting folks, it basically shows why he's so much smarter than us.

  • "American Horror Story: Coven" (10 p.m., FX): Alas, it's time to say farewell to the witchy women. The season finale features the dramatic rise of a new Supereme to succeed Fiona (Jessica Lange).
