PLEASANTON -- Some 800 competitive swimmers will converge on the Dolores Bengston Aquatic Center on Black Avenue from March 28 to 30 for the Pacific Masters Short Course Championships.

Competition all three days will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until around 4:30 p.m. Competing swimmers range in age from 18 to 90.

The city has worked with the Tri-Valley Masters to minimize traffic and parking in surrounding neighborhoods.

Overflow parking has been reserved for March 29 and 30 at Gingerbread Preschool, Alisal Elementary School, and Amador Valley High School.
