A San Pedro man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of robbing a victim of his expensive skateboard last spring at a Rancho Palos Verdes park, sheriff's deputies said.

Steven Nocon, 20, is suspected of approaching the victim at Deane Dana Friendship Park at 1850 W. Ninth St. with two other men and threatening to hurt him if he did not hand over his skateboard, deputies said.

In fear for his life, the victim complied.

The men fled in a gray Honda Civic.

Nocon was booked at the Lomita sheriff's station on suspicion of robbery and held on $50,000 bail.

The crime occurred on May 30 at the park, which is on the Rancho Palos Verdes border with San Pedro.
