PLEASANTON -- Pleasanton students in third through 12th grade are eligible to enter a youth literature contest sponsored by Ptownlife.org, Pleasanton's youth and family website.
Entries must be stories about growing up, the writer's childhood, or what it means to be a kid. Applicants must be Pleasanton residents. Entries must include an original story of 500 to 1,000 words on the theme. The deadline to enter is Feb. 10.
Stories are eligible for prizes. Winners will be chosen from three categories: 3rd-5th grade, 6th-7th grade and 9th-2th grade.

Stories must be submitted via email to email@example.com in a Word (.doc) or PDF file format. All stories must be type and must include the writer's name, grade and school.
