Eleven Santa Clara County high school students have won grand prizes in the Synopsys Science & Technology Championship.

The winning students are Vibhav Altekar of Lynbrook High; Namrata Balasingam of Archbishop Mitty High; Milan Gambhir of Bellarmine College Prep; Natalie Ng of Monta Vista High; Tanisha Joshi and Swetha Revanur of Evergreen Valley High; and Andrew Jin, Nitya Mani, Varun Mohan, Sriram Somasundaram and Steven Wang of The Harker School.

Each won a free trip to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, which will be held May 11-16 in Los Angeles.

The top prizes for middle school were awarded to Anusha Ghosh of Challenger-Shawnee, Ujjain Mukhopadhyay of Bret Harte Middle, Raghav Ganesh of Miller Middle, Edward Ross of J.L. Stanford Middle, Utkarsh Tandon of Lawson Middle and Laura Powers, who is home-schooled.

They won free trips to the California State Science Fair, to be held April 28-29 in Los Angeles.
