Angel Pagan isn't just out of the starting lineup.

"Angel has left the building," manager Bruce Bochy said.

Pagan is flying to Scottsdale to get a second opinion from team doctors. He is missing his third straight game because of back tightness and already has had an MRI; Bochy said more tests are on the way.

"Obviously this will help us decide what our next move is," Bochy said.

Bochy still maintains that the next move won't be the disabled list.
