Caps flew as more than 3,000 students received their degrees during UC Berkeley's commencement ceremonies at Edwards Stadium. The keynote speaker was Eric Schmidt, Google executive chairman and UC Berkeley alumni. A crowd of 16,000 was expected for the event.  

LOS ANGELES -- A computer specialist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory is going to court over allegations that he was wrongfully terminated because of his belief in intelligent design.
