Burlingame High turned turnovers into touchdowns for a 13-12 nonleague win over Homestead at Fremont-Sunnyvale on Friday

Ilan Lesov scored the go-ahead touchdown standing up on a 6-yard run off right guard with 9:13 to play, and the Burlingame defense held standout Brian Rogers to four rushing yards in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.

Lesov rushed for 134 yards on 26 carries and scored both touchdowns, including a 25-yard pass on the team's first play from scrimmage — after a Homestead fumble on the second play of the game.

Rogers rallied Homestead (0-3) to a 12-7 lead with two touchdowns and a 27-carry, 143-yard performance. But after the Mustangs stopped Burlingame at the 2-yard line late in the third quarter, Rogers fumbled the ball back, with Kevin Nasre recovering to set up the winning 30-yard drive.

Pinole Valley 14, Oakland Tech 12: The visiting Spartans defense held the Bulldogs (2-1) in Pinole Valley territory three times in the fourth quarter, including recovering a fumble at the Pinole Valley 40 with 55 seconds remaining.

The Tech defense held Pinole Valley (3-0) to 66 yards of total offense. The Spartans' Donovan Henderson had an 83-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter, and with the point-after kick, Pinole Valley held a 14-6 lead.

Kern Valley-Lake Isabella 38, Piedmont 37 (OT): The Highlanders missed on a two-point conversion in overtime to fall on the road in a battle of unbeatens.

Piedmont (2-1) led 21-10 at halftime before the Broncs (4-0) rallied to tie the game and force overtime.

Kern Valley scored first in overtime and when the Highlanders matched the touchdown, they went for the win and came up short.

Mt. Diablo 30, Kennedy-Sacramento 0: Quarterback Ethan Morrow connected with Vince Stone three times for touchdowns of 15, 20, and 25-yards to lead the visiting Red Devils (4-0) to victory over the Cougars (1-2). Mt. Diablos' other touchdown came on a Jalil Jack 32-yard run. Artie Castaneda had an interception for the Red Devils' defense, which also recovered two fumbles.

Oakland 32, Campolindo 21: The Wildcats (2-2) proved to speedy for the Cougars (2-2)defense as runningbacks Damante Horton and David Douglass both gained over 100 yards and scoring twice. Horton also returned a kickoff 95 yards for a TD.

CCSF 28, Laney 3: Running back David Henderson rushed for 154 yards on 21 carries, scored two touchdowns, and the Rams defense intercepted four Jeff Murphy passes in the second half to lead unbeaten CCSF to its fourth straight victory in Oakland.

The Eagles (3-1), who were held to 252 yards of offense, scored first when Ernie Collins kicked a 22-yard field goal with 2:04 left in the first quarter.

CCSF took a 7-3 lead when quarterback Darius Bell threw a 38-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Cannon with 1:13 left in the third quarter.
