POSITION: Quarterback

THE STAT LINE: Karnthong found a variety of ways to contribute in the Panthers' 70-20 win over Dougherty Valley. He rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 95 yards and a score. He also returned a punt 90 yards for a TD, kicked two PATs and rushed for a pair of two-point conversions. All of his scoring came in the first half.

Jeffrey Prothro Jr.

SCHOOL: James Logan. SPORT: Football. YEAR: Senior

POSITION: Quarterback

THE STAT LINE: Prothro produced a near-perfect game at quarterback, as he completed 16 of 18 passes for 313 yards, five touchdowns (all in the first three quarters) and no interceptions in the Colts' 48-14 victory over Heritage. His touchdowns went for 35, 34, 3, 53 and 46 yards. He completed his first eight passes and his final eight passes.

Hannah Mooney

SCHOOL: Piedmont. SPORT: Water polo

YEAR: Senior. POSITION: Center

THE STAT LINE: Mooney scored 16 goals in four matches of the Contra Costa Invitational, including a team-high four in the Highlanders' 9-7 victory over Ukiah in the final. She also drew four exclusions in both the semifinal and final matches and had 16 steals in the tournament.

Alex Sborov

SCHOOL: Foothill. SPORT: Golf.

YEAR: Senior

THE STAT LINE: Sborov was the medalist at the San Leandro Invitational with a 2-under 69 at Monarch Bay Golf Club and shot a 1-over 38 to be co-medalist along with her twin sister, Katie, in an East Bay Athletic League win over Monte Vista at Castlewood Country Club.

BOYS

NICK PASICHUKE, San Ramon Valley, water polo, Sr. -- Pasichuke scored a team-high 17 goals overall as the Wolves earned the title in the prestigious Scott Roche Memorial tournament. The Wolves beat Rio Americano-Sacramento 10-6 in the championship game.

ROBERT TAYLOR, Castro Valley, football, Jr. -- Taylor had four interceptions and rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns in the Trojans' 40-14 victory over Liberty.

GIRLS

DEVON LODGE, Alameda, volleyball, Sr. -- Lodge had 18 kills, 10 digs and three aces in the Hornets' 25-8, 22-25, 25-14, 18-25, 15-6 victory over rival Encinal. She also had five kills and five assists in a 25-18, 25-18, 25-10 loss to Castro Valley.

EMILY REDER, San Ramon Valley, volleyball, Sr. -- Reder, an outside hitter, had 21 kills, 17 digs and four aces to power the Wolves to a 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 nonleague victory over Northgate.
