Looking to claim their first outright Bay Valley Athletic League title, the visiting Falcons scored on the ground, through the air and on an interception return in a dominant first-half performance against the host Lions (2-8, 0-5).

Quarterback Dante Mayes completed 10 of 13 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, as the Falcons (8-2, 5-0) took a 35-0 lead at the break and went on to win the Bell Game for the seventh consecutive year.

Wide receiver Darrell Daniels caught one of those touchdowns, on a 27-yard reception, and also scored on a 15-yard rush two plays into the second quarter. He finished the first half with three receptions for 72 yards.

Running back Joe Mixon carried eight times for 56 yards and scored the game's opening touchdown, a 7-yard carry that capped a nine-play drive. He also intercepted a fourth-down pass from Liberty quarterback Ivan Oseguera and returned it 68 yards to the end zone.
