Connor Haupt made seven 3-pointers to lead Burlingame to a 72-46 victory over Sequoia in a Peninsula Athletic League South Division opener Wednesday.
Haupt finished with 25 points as Burlingame improved to 6-7, 1-0.
Sequoia fell to 5-11, 0-1.
Victory was never in doubt for Burlingame, which led 30-5 after one quarter and 53-17 at halftime.
Carlmont 56, Capuchino 31: Michael Costello had 19 points and Yash Malik added 13 to lead Carlmont to its 12th win in 13 games to start the season.
Top-ranked Archbishop Mitty led by single digits after the first and second quarters before pulling away for a 59-44 victory over No. 7 St. Francis in a West Catholic Athletic League game. The victory was Mitty's fourth in a row.
Mountain View scored an early goal, but Los Altos rallied for two unanswered goals to defeat the host Spartans 2-1 in a Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division match.
Most of the game was played in crisp, windy and wet conditions.
Homestead built a two-goal halftime lead, but Los Gatos charged back to beat the Mustangs 3-2 as Maddie Medved scored twice and McKenzie Flood had a goal and an assist. Los Gatos improved to 8-1-1, 3-0 in the SCVAL De Anza Division.
