THE STAT LINE: Pagila, who will play college golf for Army, tied a Diablo Country Club record with a 9-under 62 in the De La Salle Invitational. He also shot an even-par 35 in the first-place Spartans' win over Livermore at Diablo Country Club in the East Bay Athletic League.

Marcus Harris

SCHOOL: St. Joseph Notre Dame

SPORT: Basketball

YEAR: Sophomore

POSITION: Point guard

THE STAT LINE: Harris scored 17 points as the Pilots defeated Capital Christian 50-36 to win the Division V NorCal crown. He also had eight points in a 44-41 victory over Branson-Ross in the semifinals.

Shannon Mestas

SCHOOL: Clayton Valley Charter

SPORT: Softball

YEAR: Senior

POSITION: Pitcher

THE STAT LINE: Mestas had a no-hitter and 17 strikeouts against Newark Memorial. In the Queen of the Mountain, she tossed a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts against Amador Valley and pitched a perfect game with 14 strikeouts against Liberty.

Asha Thomas

SCHOOL: Bishop O'Dowd

SPORT: Basketball

YEAR: Sophomore

POSITION: Guard

THE STAT LINE: Thomas scored 11 of her 16 points in a pivotal third quarter to help the Dragons defeat St. Mary's-Stockton 58-50 in the Open Division Northern California regional final. She also grabbed four rebounds in the game.

BOYS

JERMAINE EDMONDS JR., Salesian, basketball, Sr. -- Edmonds scored 17 points, including six straight in the fourth quarter, in the Pride's 63-59 overtime loss to Sheldon-Sacramento in an Open Division NorCal semifinal.

MIKEY EGGLETON, College Park, basketball, Sr. -- Eggleton had 22 points, five rebounds and two blocks, helping the 11th seeded Falcons beat No. 1 Dublin 93-90 in overtime of the NorCal Division II championship game.

GIRLS

BRIAHN BROWN, St. Mary's, track and field, So. -- Brown won the St. Francis Invitational high jump with a personal-best 5 feet, 8 inches that tied the school record. The leap was tied for third in the state this season at press time.

JOHANNA GRAUER, Amador Valley, softball, Jr. -- Grauer, an Arizona State commit who tossed 19 shutouts last season, had 12 strikeouts in the Dons' 1-0 win over California in the championship game of the Queen of the Mountain tournament. She was named tournament MVP.
