Joey Vigil, Sr., Heritage -- A year after finishing fourth at the NCS championships at 106 pounds, Vigil won the section title at 113 pounds and placed eighth at the state championships. He also won the San Ramon Valley Invitational at 120 pounds. Back at 113, he took second at the Mission San Jose Invitational and won the Bay Valley Athletic League championship.

120 pounds

Ricky Coster, So., Freedom -- Coster was the BVAL and the NCS champion at 120 pounds as he finished in the top three in seven tournaments this season. He also won the Bill Martell Invitational at Northgate High and took first at the MidCals Tournament in Gilroy.

Artemio Flores, Sr., James Logan -- It was a special season for Flores, who won the MVAL title and was unstoppable at the NCS championship. He placed second at the Mission San Jose Invitational at 132 pounds, and was sixth at the state championships, winning all three of his matches on the first day of the tournament.

Austin Solari, Sr., Liberty -- Solari took third at the NCS championships last year, but had little problem carving up the field at this year's section meet, winning two matches by pinfall, two by technical fall and one by majority decision to earn the title. He took sixth at the state championships and finished the season with a 47-8 record.

Jacob Macalolooy, Jr., James Logan -- Macalolooy, the NCS champion, also took first at the El Dorado Trojan War and the MVAL championships, and was second at the Mission San Jose Invitational.

Nicolas Lang, Sr., Livermore -- Lang saved his best for the end of the season. He won five straight matches at the NCS championships, and won the section title with a 3-2 win in overtime in the final.

Tyler Rardon, Sr., Livermore -- Rardon repeated as NCS champion and almost won a medal at the state championships. He also won the Tim Brown Memorial and the Mission San Jose Invitational at 152 pounds.

Kyle Campiotti, Sr. Granada -- Campiotti was dominant at the NCS championships, winning three matches by major decision, one by pinfall and one by technical fall to capture the section title. He also finished first at the Bay Area Invitational and the Mat Classic, and was second at Mission San Jose.

Aaron Pease, Sr., De La Salle -- A year after finishing fourth at the NCS championships, Pease stormed to a section title at 170 pounds. He also won the Curt Mettler Invitational and took third at the Mission San Jose Invitational.

Devon Aiello, Sr., De La Salle -- Aiello won the Curt Mettler Invitational, the Turlock Classic and the Lou Encalada Invitational before he captured the NCS title.

Clayton Hartwell, Jr., James Logan -- Hartwell had a monthlong stretch where he was practically unbeatable at 195 pounds, as he won the Overfelt and Mission San Jose tournaments, and the MVAL and NCS championships. He placed sixth at the state championships.

Elijah Iakopo, Sr., Deer Valley -- Iakopo took second at the Bill Martell Invitational and was the East Bay's highest placer at 220 pounds at the NCS championships, where he took fourth.

Dylan Walsh, Sr. Las Lomas -- Walsh took second at the Bay Area Invitational and the Puma Classic, but won the Mat Classic, the Diablo Foothill Athletic League title and the NCS title.
