THE STAT LINE: Boeriu won the DVAL singles championship for the second straight year with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Gabby Nobili of Berean Christian at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek. Boeriu dropped only five games combined in the semifinals and finals.

THE STAT LINE: Erhahon had a career-high 26 kills in a 26-24, 31-29, 21-25, 25-22 victory over St. Joseph Notre Dame that clinched the Tri-County Athletic League-Rock Division title. She also had 10 kills and 10 digs in a 25-10, 25-20, 25-23 win over El Cerrito and 38 kills in four matches at the Northgate Tournament.
DEMAREYEH LANE, Castro Valley, football, Sr. -- Lane rushed for a game-high 178 yards on 26 carries and scored all four of his team's touchdowns in a 27-26 loss to Encinal. Besides rushing touchdowns of 1, 38 and 27 yards, he also reached the end zone on a 20-yard fumble recovery.
CAMERON OWEN, California, football, Sr. -- Owen helped the Grizzlies beat San Ramon Valley 35-21 in a battle for first place in the East Bay Athletic League, running for 106 yards on nine carries and completing 8 of 10 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
CHARLOTTE HUTCHESON-WILCOX, Skyline, volleyball, Jr. -- Hutcheson-Wilcox had 10 kills and four aces in a 25-9, 25-13, 25-13 victory over Oakland, then had six kills and 12 aces in a 25-11, 25-14, 25-6 win over Fremont as the Titans stayed undefeated in Oakland Athletic League play.
KIM JOHNSON, Las Lomas, water polo, Jr. -- Johnson led the Knights to the Napa Julian Szmidt Memorial tournament championship by scoring six goals in a 9-7 win over St. Mary's-Stockton in the final. She scored seven goals in the semifinals and had 21 total goals in five tournament games.
