Caleb Baskett scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the first half as the 14th-seeded Washington High boys basketball team stunned No. 3 College Park 61-50 in the first round of the North Coast Section Division II playoffs on Tuesday.

Washington led 35-32 at halftime but outscored College Park, the defending Northern California Division II champions, 14-4 in the third quarter to help pull away. The Huskies will play at No. 6 Dublin on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The Gaels were a 61-55 winner over No. 11 Ukiah in their first round game on Tuesday.

Baskett had five 3-pointers and teammate Zach Ghaith had three 3-pointers to finish with 13 points for Washington (15-12), which was just 3-3 in its last six games coming into Tuesday.

Joe DeMers had 19 points to lead College Park, which entered the playoffs having lost two of its last three regular season games.

Jeffrey Mitchell Jr. had 12 points for the Falcons and teammate Nick Lombardi had 10.
