Berkeley at Arroyo, baseball, Friday, 4 p.m. -- The Dons, who entered the week with a 10-1 overall record, host the 9-3 Yellowjackets in a key early season West Alameda County Conference showdown.

Campolindo at Dougherty Valley, boys volleyball, Friday, 6 p.m. -- Though it's one of the first Diablo Foothill Athletic League matches of the year, the meeting between the Cougars and Wildcats could go a long way toward deciding the league champion.

Clayton Valley Charter at Northgate, baseball, Tuesday, 4 p.m. -- Two of the top teams in the Diablo Valley Athletic League square off in a game that could have league title implications.

Moving on Up

Grace Na, Pepperdine women's golf -- Na, a senior at Pepperdine and a former Alameda High standout, was named West Coast Conference Player of the Month for March. She won the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Hawaii by eight strokes and tied for fourth place at the Bruin Wave Invitational.

Melissa Bartow, Lani Tittle, Andie Nishimi, UC San Diego women's water polo -- The East Bay trio helped the Tritons, ranked 13th in the country by the Collegiate Water Polo Association, to wins over Sonoma State, Cal State East Bay, Cal State Monterey Bay and Pacific. Bartow (Las Lomas), a senior, scored four goals, Tittle (Northgate), a freshman, scored twice and and Nishimi (Campolindo), a junior, scored once.
