Kevin Asplund, Leland swimming: Asplund helped Leland win a BVAL Mount Hamilton title, finishing second in the 50 free (22.07) and anchoring the 200 free relay to a win with a 21.72 split.

Holly Azevedo, Pioneer softball: She allowed one hit while improving to 16-2 as Pioneer beat Westmont 5-0 to stay tied for first with Leland in the BVAL Mount Hamilton Division. Azevedo finished with 10 strikeouts.

Sara Cisneros, Mills softball: The senior pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and scored two runs in a 10-0 win over Menlo-Atherton.

Emily Cotla, South San Francisco softball: She had five hits and scored three runs in a 14-7 victory over El Camino.

Chris Davis, Aragon baseball: Davis went 6 of 8 over two games against Mills, with six RBIs, five in one game.

Janelle DeJong, Terra Nova softball: She had a home run and five RBIs in an 18-1 win over Jefferson.

Amelia Dunn, Los Gatos softball: In three games, the outfielder went 8 for 10 with three walks. She began this week leading her team with 28 hits.

Joe Galea, Capuchino baseball: Galea threw a complete game in a 10-3 win over El Camino and had two doubles and a single with five RBIs.

John Gavin, St. Francis baseball: In a crucial WCAL game at Valley Christian, Gavin threw a one-hitter to lead St. Francis to a 1-0 victory.

Megan Graeser, Mt. Pleasant softball: In her team's wins over Live Oak and Leigh, she went 6 for 8, scored five runs and drove in two.

Josh Nashed, Leland baseball: In three games, Nashed went 9 for 12 with four doubles, seven RBIs and three runs, improving his batting average to .482 for first-place Leland.

Matt Seubert, Carlmont baseball: The senior threw a complete game in a 5-3 win over Terra Nova and got the save in a 3-0 win over Sacred Heart Prep as the Scots moved into first place in the PAL Bay.

Noa Yakir, Homestead softball: She went 4 for 5, hit two home runs, scored three runs and drove in seven in a 14-11 win over Saratoga. She has nine homers this season.
