What to watch this week

Clayton Valley Charter at College Park, baseball, Thursday, 4 p.m. -- The Eagles and Falcons enter this game tied for first place in the Diablo Valley Athletic League with 10-1 records. College Park defeated Clayton Valley 3-0 on Tuesday behind a complete game from Joe DeMers.

San Ramon Valley at Monte Vista, boys lacrosse, Friday, 7 p.m. -- The Wolves and Mustangs get together to decide the East Bay Athletic League championship. Both teams were 6-0 entering this week, and the winner could be in line for one of the top three seeds in the North Coast Section Division I playoffs along with Redwood-Larkspur and Granite Bay.

NCS Division I Championships, boys tennis, Saturday, 10 a.m. -- The top boys tennis players in the section will gather at Santa Rosa High to determine the singles and doubles champions.

NCS Tournament of Champions, boys golf, Monday, 8 a.m. -- The NCS Division I Tournament of Champions, held at Peacock Gap Golf Course in San Rafael, is a collection of the best teams and individuals in the section. Berths to the NorCal tournament are on the line.

Moving on Up

Josh Eagle, Cal State Monterey Bay, baseball -- Eagle, a senior from Deer Valley, was named National Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association for the week of April 21-27 after he threw the school's first no-hitter against Cal State San Bernardino on April 27. Eagle allowed two walks and struck out four.
