OAKLAND -- A San Leandro man shot and killed early Saturday morning at an Oakland club was identified Wednesday.

Police said 23-year-old Nathaniel Brown died after he was shot about 1:20 a.m. inside Club Anton, located at 428 Third St., just east of Broadway.

A party was being held at the club when some kind of disturbance occurred and Brown was shot, police said. Police have not released more details about the disturbance or said if Brown was directly involved.

Dozens of people were inside the club at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.

Police have not named any suspects. Brown was the 69th homicide victim in Oakland this year.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the gunman in Saturday's killing. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or a tip line at 510-773-2805.
