ANTIOCH -- Drivers headed southbound on Highway 160 from the Antioch Bridge toward central Contra Costa may experience some delays later this week.

As part of the work to add connector ramps between Highway 160 and Highway 4, contractors will be shifting traffic onto a newly paved lane near the Main Street on-ramp from 10 p.m. Wednesday night to 4 a.m. Thursday morning, according to a Contra Costa Transportation Authority news release.

The work may cause an intermittent highway closure between Main and the Highway 4 interchange, officials said.

Other roadwork this week on Highway 4 includes lane closures westbound overnight Tuesday and Wednesday between the off-ramp and on-ramp at Contra Loma Boulevard, and eastbound from G Street to Lone Tree Way overnight Wednesday through Friday.
