LIVERMORE -- The weekend forecast is for snow in downtown Livermore.
What has become a favored Livermore holiday tradition, snow day returns on Dec. 9 to Lizzie Fountain at First Street and North Livermore Avenue for children ages 10 and under.
Beginning at noon, kids can play, dig tunnels, make snowmen and snow angels and otherwise enjoy the real snow trucked in for the event. Snowball fights are not allowed.
The free event, a partnership between Downtown Livermore Inc. and Marcel Orthodontics, was originally scheduled for Dec. 1 to coincide with the downtown holiday parade, but was postponed due to rain.
