LIVERMORE -- The Livermore Police Department is accepting applications for its 23rd Citizens' Police Academy, a course designed to give community members an inside look at the department and law enforcement overall.

The 17-week academy begins on Feb. 6, 2013 with classes held every Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Livermore Police Department. A graduation ceremony will take place on May 31. The program is free and there are no physical requirements for most activities.

Applications can be picked up in the lobby of the Livermore police station, located at 1110 S.
