Feb. 3 Dan Zemelman Quartet Concert -- 2 p.m. In commemoration of Black History Month the Dan Zemelman Quartet will perform the music of legendary black jazz composers such as Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. Feb. 4 & 11 Auditions -- 7 p.m. Valley Concert Chorale will hold auditions by appointment for their April and May concerts. The Chorale will perform Durufle's "Requiem" and Lauridsen's "Lux Aeterna" in April, and Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony" with the Livermore Amador Symphony in May. Feb. 9 Just Like New Valentine Crab Feed -- 6 to 10 p.m. Valley Humane Society fundraiser features cracked crab, pasta, Caesar salad, bread, dessert, and coffee or tea. A no-host bar offering beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages will be available, raffle baskets and silent auction items. All proceeds benefit Jackie Barnett's Just Like New fund. The program provides financial assistance for urgent veterinary medical needs in the Tri-Valley.
