LIVERMORE -- A convicted sex offender who failed to register his status with police was arrested last week, police said.
An arrest warrant for David Garrison, 48, was obtained Thursday, and detectives arrested him without incident at his residence in the 4000 block of Kimberly Common a day later, Livermore police Officer Steve Goard said. Garrison was convicted in 2012 of possessing child pornography.
That conviction required that Garrison register with the state as a sex offender, but Livermore police investigators reviewed his activity and determined that he failed to register either with Livermore police or with another law enforcement agency, Gourd said.
Garrison is expected to be charged with failure to register as a sex offender, a felony. He was taken to Santa Rita Jail, where he was being held in lieu of $15,000 bail.
