MARTINEZ -- The Contra Costa County Zoning Administrator will hold a compliance hearing Monday regarding the 2007 Clean Fuels Expansion Project at the Phillips 66 petroleum refinery in Rodeo.

Although a public hearing notice circulated by the Contra Costa County Department of Conservation and Development references consideration of "a Land Use Permit application," leading some residents to believe it might be related to a proposed Liquefied Petroleum Gas project, the subject of Monday's hearing is in fact a 2007 project, said county Principal Planner William Nelson.

The hearing is the second of three annual post-construction compliance hearings.

The accompanying staff report recommends that the Zoning Administrator find Phillips in compliance with all conditions except part of one related to an agreement with the Community Working Group on a fenceline monitoring system.

The Zoning Administrator will meet at 1:30 p.m. at 30 Muir Road in Martinez. The agenda is available at http://www.cccounty.us/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/2920. The direct link to the staff report is http://ca-contracostacounty.civicplus.com/DocumentCenter/View/28407.
