U11 Division

The U11 Pleasanton Rage Orange girls team took third place and had a great showing at the Pleasanton College Showcase Tournament on the weekend of July 26-27.

The Rage Orange opened up the tournament with a 4-2 win over Diablo FC, and in its second match lost to Clovis Crossfire, 1-0.

In the second day of tournament play, the Rage responded with a 4-0 victory over Placer United that secured a birth to the consolation round.

The consolation match against Walnut Creek Barcelona went to overtime, with a 1-1 tie, and eventually went to penalty kicks. After goals by Rage players Maddie Benson, Leah Allari, Ashley Belshe, and Maggie Nostrand, the score was still tied. The goalies took their penalty shots next, and Rage Orange goalie Evette Allari stopped Barcelona's shot and followed up with a goal to win the game and secure third place in the tournament.

Del Prado Stingrays 428, Pleasanton Meadows Sharks 560: On July 26, the Pleasanton Meadows Sharks defeated the Del Prado Stingrays in their last dual meet of the year. Pre-Junior 1 Group: Jordan Lee best times in 50 backstroke and 100 butterfly; Mattias Bengtsson best time 100 breaststroke; Hailey Fesai best times in backstroke 200/400IM; Crystal Wang great performances in all three individual races; Jovanni Shen best time in 50 breaststroke; Emily Chen was strong in the girls relays.

Junior Group: Farrah Brown - 2 finals. Lauren Jhong - best time in the 50 back. Olivia Kim - 5 finals. Bryson Huey - 3 finals and won the 100 back. Kaela Lee - 100% best times. Sophia Xing - best time in the 200 breast. Jun Kang - best time in the 100 fly. Jaewoo Kim - Earned FW in the 400 free. Aaron Lee - best time in the 100 breast.

Pre-Senior Group: The 11-12 girls relay team of Emily Claridge, Claire Suen, Kyra Black and Mackenzie Lee took first and set a new PLS record with a 1:56.28 in the 200 freestyle relay. The same relay team also broke another PLS record with a 2:13.10 in the 200 medley relay. Meghan Hogue and Jack Wilkerson swam close to their lifetime bests.
