Monday, oct. 22

  • 8:26 p.m. -- Prospect Road. A residential burglary was reported.

    Tuesday, oct. 23

  • 2:09 p.m. -- Kingston Avenue. A vehicle break-in was reported.

    Wednesday, oct. 24

  • 12:33 p.m. -- Rose Avenue. A vehicle theft was reported.

  • 1:40 p.m. -- Estates Drive. A woman told police that someone damaged the side mirrors and windshield wipers of her vehicle. The vandalism occurred between 6 and 9:30 p.m. Oct. 22, police said.

  • 9:08 p.m. -- Crest Road. A vehicle theft was reported. The theft occurred sometime during the previous three days, police said.

    Thursday, Oct. 25

  • 11:47 a.m. -- Craig Avenue. A resident reported that someone rifled through his vehicle Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, prompting police to beef up patrols in the neighborhood. A resident of Lower Grand Avenue also said his vehicle was rifled through and requested extra patrols, police said.

    Friday, oct. 26

  • 3:23 a.m. -- Bonita Avenue. A resident told police that he was the victim of an armed robbery in Oakland. The victim said three suspects stole his cell phone and wallet and that one was armed with a knife. Piedmont police contacted Oakland police about the incident.

  • 6:52 p.m. -- Linda Avenue. A noninjury traffic accident was reported.

  • 7:03 p.m. -- Sunnyside Avenue. A vehicle theft was reported.

  • 11:37 p.m. -- Greenbank Avenue. A vehicle break-in was reported.

    Saturday, oct. 27

  • 4:59 p.m. -- Mountain Avenue. A caller told police that someone stole an iPod from his unlocked vehicle. A Dudley Avenue resident also contacted police at 8:01 p.m., saying someone broke a window of her vehicle, while an attempted vehicle break-in was reported at 11:26 p.m. at Wildwood and Highland avenues. A witness reported that two men may have carried out the attempt.
