Roadshow: A mom sets a good pay it forward example
When her daughter was younger, she and her mother would go out for a meal and pay the bill for an elderly person eating alone. They would tell the waiter not to disclose who paid their bill. The daughter absolutely loved watching their reaction, and her mom loved watching her. The daughter did a lot of volunteer work during high school and college, her way of paying it forward.
Berkeley: Man hospitalized after running across I-80 on Sunday
A man who briefly ran across Interstate 80 early Sunday morning and jumped into the Berkeley Aquatic Park appeared to be having a crisis and was hospitalized for evaluation, police said Monday.
