Coldplay will heat up the summer concert season by performing two dates in Northern California: The band will play July 21 at Arco Arena in Sacramento and July 24 at HP Pavilion in San Jose.
Tickets for these shows will go on sale June 14.
Further details have not yet been announced, but keep checking www.coldplay.com for information.
The band will launch its North American trek, in support of the forthcoming album "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends," July 2 in Washington, DC. "Viva la Vida" was produced by Brian Eno and Markus Dravs and follows 2005's "X&Y," a work that has sold more 10 million copies to date.
The set's first single, "Violet Hill," is already a substantial hit on modern rock radio.
