FRIDAY, NOV. 9 ROBBERY -- A man approached another man near Eastshore Boulevard and San Pablo Avenue and swiped his wallet. The victim then chased after him and the two started fighting. Another assailant came up and pointed a gun at the victim and the pair fled with the wallet. THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone forced open a window and stole items from a home in the 7100 block of Eureka Avenue. DUI -- Police arrested a Novato motorist on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at Blake Street and San Pablo Avenue.
SATURDAY, NOV. 10 THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone forced open a window and stole electronics and jewelry from a home in the 200 block of Ashbury Avenue. DUI -- Police arrested a San Pablo motorist on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the 1500 block of Mariposa Avenue.
SUNDAY, NOV. 11 CANNABIS -- An El Cerrito man, 25, was arrested for reported possession of marijuana after more than nine pounds of the substance was seized in the 2000 block of Tapscott Avenue.
TUESDAY, NOV. 13 THEFT FROM AUTO -- Someone tried to break into two vehicles owned by employees of the Honda dealership in the 11700 block of San Pablo Avenue. One of the car owners was sleeping inside the vehicle when the suspect tried to break in. Elsewhere, a suspect caused an estimated $450 in damages after breaking the front passenger window of a 2008 Toyota Corolla in the 1500 block of Lexington Avenue. PILFERED PRESCRIPTION -- A woman reportedly picked up a cough syrup prescription at Walgreen's in the 11500 block of San Pablo Avenue without the patient's permission.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 14 COMMERCIAL CRIME -- Police arrested an El Cerrito man, 22, for reported theft and resisting arrest after a brief foot chase. Officers had responded to a call from an employee at the Lucky store in El Cerrito Plaza stating the suspect had shoplifted items. A Richmond man, 38, was arrested after he was detained by a loss prevention officer of a business in the 10400 block of San Pablo Avenue. He was seen concealing merchandise in plastic bags that he had brought into the store and leaving without paying. THEFT FROM AUTO -- Someone broke a passenger window on a 2003 white Honda Odyssey in the 1800 block of Key Boulevard and stole an iPod, headphones, a wallet and a purse. And, someone broke the driver's side window of a Toyota Sienna in the lot of Hi-Tech Car Audio in the 10500 block of San Pablo Avenue and stole a backpack and a Mac Book computer.
THURSDAY, NOV. 15 ROBBERY -- Around 1:20 p.m., two men and a woman entered CVS Pharmacy and were observed stealing razors. One of the men threatened and slapped a store employee who confronted the trio and they fled in a 1980s Oldsmobile parked in the 1000 block of Liberty Street.
