PLEASANTON -- Jesse Serpa, wanted on suspicion of stabbing another man at an apartment complex in Pleasanton on Nov. 14, has been arrested.
Livermore police arrested Serpa about 6 p.m. Monday in Manteca, where he had been staying with his sister.
Serpa, a 33-year-old Livermore resident, was booked in the Santa Rita County Jail and faces one count of attempted murder. His bail has not been set.
On Nov. 14, Pleasanton police responded to an apartment complex at 3819 Vineyard Ave. after they received multiple calls that a stabbing had just occurred.
Officers found a 30-year-old male victim with a single stab wound to his chest.
Witnesses told police that the two men began arguing with each other and started fighting. At some point during the fight, the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim one time then fled on foot.
The victim, also a Livermore resident, was taken to Eden Hospital for the treatment of his injury, which was non-life threatening.
