Don't repair sinkhole
The "Sinkhole" on Lafayette's Mountain View Drive brought the Times and television news helicopters into town. Crews have been working day and night to remove all evidence of what might have caused the road/drain failure, and a bigshot construction company has been called in to speed up the repairs.
I'm sure there will be arguments forever, about what caused the failure.
City Manager Steve Falk gave me some sarcasm about tax money having be used to fix the road. He said he was going to call FEMA.
I have a better idea -- don't fix the road. Leave the creek open. It will never plug up again. Dog walkers will enjoy it.
