FRIDAY, JAN. 4

  • DUI -- Police arrested two motorists for reportedly driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, including a Richmond man, 47, at Panama and San Pablo avenues and an El Cerrito man, 27, at Richmond Street and Stockton Avenue.

  • ROBBERY -- Police arrested an Oakland man, 21, after he reportedly stole a box of baby formula from the Lucky supermarket at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza. The suspect physically assaulted security personnel until officers arrived on scene and managed to detain him.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Police arrested a San Jose woman, 27, and a San Francisco man, 32, for reported possession of a stolen U-Haul van in the 11300 block of San Pablo Avenue. Meanwhile, a 1993 Acura was stolen near 170 El Cerrito Plaza. And, police recovered three vehicles, including: a 1995 Acura Integra reported stolen in Alameda in the 5700 block of Carlos Avenue; a 1993 Honda Civic reported stolen from San Pablo at Cutting Boulevard and Glen Mawr Avenue; and a 1997 Honda Civic reported stolen in Piedmont at Huntington and San Pablo avenues.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took the garage door opener to enter a home in the 7400 block of Potrero Avenue. The thief stole an undisclosed number of items from the dwelling. In the same area someone entered through an unlocked gate and stole a bicycle from the side yard of a home in that vicinity.

    SATURDAY, JAN. 5

  • COMMERCIAL CRIME -- A man was seen cutting sensor tags off merchandise at Marshall's in the 10300 block of San Pablo Avenue. He then loaded the items into a large bag and exited the store, where store security confronted the suspect. He then reportedly swung the bag at the employee before fleeing without the items.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- It was reported that someone had entered a home in the 500 block of Kearney Street through an unlocked sliding glass door and stole an undisclosed number of items.

    SUNDAY, JAN. 6

  • ATTEMPTED ROBBERY -- Two people hiding in a dark alley in the 3200 block of Belmont Avenue accosted a female pedestrian as she passed. The suspects grabbed her purse, breaking its strap, but she managed to hold on to her bag and the pair fled.

  • COMMERCIAL CRIME -- Police arrested a male transient, 53, after he was seen entering Trader Joe's at 225 El Cerrito Plaza, concealing groceries and leaving the store without paying.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- A white 1995 Honda Civic was stolen in the 2600 block of Tamalpais Avenue.

    MONDAY, JAN. 7

  • STOLEN AUTOS -- A white, four-door 1994 Honda Accord was stolen near Staples in the 11500 block of San Pablo Avenue. During the investigation, police located a 1992 Honda Accord reported stolen in Richmond. A Toyota Yaris, reported stolen in Vacaville, was recovered in the 1800 block of Liberty Street.

  • THEFT -- Police arrested a Vallejo man, 35, with prior convictions, after he was seen stealing the tip jar at Starbucks in the 11800 block of San Pablo Avenue.

    TUESDAY, JAN. 8

  • INDECENT EXPOSURE -- An El Cerrito man, 68, was arrested for indecent exposure after police found him standing naked at his doorway in the 6500 block of Blake Avenue.

  • UNDER THE INFLUENCE -- A Richmond cyclist, 48, was stopped for a traffic violation near Orchard and San Pablo avenues and was found to be riding his bike while under the influence of alcohol.

    WEDNESDAY, JAN. 9

  • ARMED ROBBERY -- Two men, one wielding a firearm, entered a business in the 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue and demanded the employees' belongings. The victims complied and the suspects fled in a green, four-door Dodge Stratus.

  • POSSESSION -- At 2:28 p.m., police arrested a female transient, 31, at Creekside Park in the 3400 block of Belmont Avenue for an outstanding warrant and suspected possession of methamphetamine.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- A gold 1994 Honda Accord was stolen from El Cerrito Plaza. An officer recovered a 1997 Honda Accord reported stolen in Pinole in front of the Ross store at El Cerrito Plaza.

    n STRUCK PEDESTRIAN -- A car hit a female pedestrian in a crosswalk at Everett Street and Stockton Avenue. The driver was determined not under the influence and was cooperative during the investigation.

  • THEFT -- An El Cerrito woman, 62, was seen concealing a bottle of liquor inside her jacket at a store in the 11300 block of San Pablo Avenue. She also was found to be intoxicated at the time of her arrest.

    THURSDAY, JAN. 10

  • DUI -- Police arrested a San Pablo man, 25, on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at Cutting Boulevard and San Pablo Avenue. The driver and his male passenger, 20, also of San Pablo and both convicted felons, were found in possession of loaded firearms. Police took them to the Martinez Detention Facility. In a separate incident, police arrested a Richmond male motorist, 30, for driving under the influence at Eastshore Boulevard and San Pablo Avenue.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- A teal 1994 Honda Accord was stolen in the 6500 block of Cutting Boulevard.
