PLEASANTON -- Two spots are open for at-large members of the East Pleasanton Specific Plan Task Force. Members will guide planning for an 1,000-acre area in east Pleasanton, the former site of sand and gravel mining.
Members will propose new uses and a circulation system for the site, and recommend plans for financing and building the necessary infrastructure.
Applicants must be city residents. Volunteers will attend a minimum of one or two meetings a month for a year or more. The city is looking for members who are clear communicators who can do background reading and research , work collaboratively and who are open to a wide range of viewpoints.
