In August, Michael and Noeleen Tyrrell of Concord took their annual trip to the area around Sante Fe, N.M., and also traveled around the state. They made a stop at the Acoma Pueblo, located on a 365-foot mesa near Albuquerque, where they caught up with the community news in the Concord Transcript. The pueblo is comprised of three villages occupied for more than 800 years -- tribal traditions estimate people have lived there for more than 2,000 years. It one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States.
It doesn't matter if your time away is spent across the Bay or across the country -- remember to pack the Transcript to keep up with news of the community, and then show your neighbors where you have been.
