CLASSES

  • Running For Women -- Begins March 19. Beginner 5K class with plans to add a 10K and half-marathon group. The program was founded by women's health physician Dr. Karey Zufelt. Instead of dropping women directly into a running program, RFW begins with run/walk intervals that are safe, gradual and designed to keep the group together during every workout. The class accommodates a wide range of abilities. In addition to coach-led workouts, the program delivers information on running, nutrition and women's wellness. Each new class begins with a shoe clinic, where women get expert advice on choosing the best running shoe at Athletic Outpost. 1528 Bonanza St., Walnut Creek. 925-943-6453.
