Highway 4 drivers through Pittsburg and Antioch should brace for several road blocks overnight this week, including a pair of full freeway closures.

All eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed from Lone Tree Way to Contra Loma Boulevard overnight Tuesday and Wednesday, as the contractor working to widening the road will be removing the temporary supports for the G Street bridge, according to a Caltrans news release.

Westbound will be closed from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., while eastbound is from midnight to 4 a.m.

All westbound lanes between Somersville Road/Auto Center Drive in Antioch and Pittsburg's Loveridge Road from midnight to 5 a.m. overnight Friday. A single eastbound lane will be closed in the opposite direction from 1 to 7 a.m.

One eastbound lane will be closed between Contra Loma and Hillcrest from midnight to 6 a.m. overnight Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A westbound lane will be closed in the opposite direction from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Other closures include the eastbound freeway off-ramp to Lone Tree from midnight to 5 a.m. Wednesday, the westbound Lone Tree on-ramp 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, the westbound Somersville on-ramp 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday and the westbound off-ramp at Loveridge from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The westbound on-ramp from Loveridge Road to SR-4 will be closed 10 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Monday morning.

Locally, all lanes of Somersville Road/Auto Center Drive will be closed crossing underneath Highway 4 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday. The offramps at the interchange will stay open.

Contra Loma Boulevard will also be closed underneath the freeway from midnight to 5 a.m. Wednesday through Friday.
