SUNDAY, July 21

  • DISPUTE -- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Marin Avenue at 9 p.m. on reports of a domestic dispute. They arrested the resident, an Albany man, for suspicion of assault.

    MONDAY, July 22

  • DISTURBANCE -- At 10 a.m. officers arrested a Richmond man in the 1200 block of Brighton Avenue for suspicion of disorderly conduct and a parole violation.

  • WARRANT -- Officers arrested an Albany man in the 1100 block of Garfield Street at 2 p.m. for suspicion of an outstanding warrant.

    TUESDAY, July 23

  • BREAK-IN -- Thieves broke into the basement of a Madison Street business and stole items overnight.

  • BREAK-INS -- A vehicle was entered overnight in the 600 block of Jackson Street, but nothing appeared to have been taken. Another vehicle on Jackson was also prowled and a few items were taken.

  • TRESPASSING -- At 5:30 p.m. officers contacted a person on Portland Avenue who appeared to be intoxicated and was walking around yards and trying doors. The resident had complained that the person was asked to leave but refused, and sat in a chair in the front yard. Officers arrested the El Cerrito man for disorderly conduct.

  • VANDALISM -- A Jackson Street resident reported that vandals pried the door lock out of a car overnight, but couldn't open the car. The vandal departed with the lock.

  • DRUGS -- Just before midnight officers investigated a person acting suspiciously near San Pablo and Marin avenues and arrested the Albany man for suspicion of drug possession.

    WEDNESDAY, July 24

  • AUTO BREAK-IN -- At 4 p.m. a caller reported that a laptop and headphones were stolen from the trunk of a car at House of Curries on Solano Avenue.

  • THEFT -- An employee at AM/PM on San Pablo Avenue called at 6 p.m. to report that a man had stolen a beverage and fled from the rear of the store.

    THURSDAY, July 25

  • AUTO BREAK-IN -- A caller reported at 8:30 a.m. that 15 minutes prior the window of a car on Cornell Avenue was shattered and items were stolen.

  • CARELESSNESS -- A caller at 11 a.m. reported leaving the keys in a car that was now gone.

    FRIDAY, July 26

  • AUTO THEFT -- A company van was stolen overnight on Talbot Avenue.

  • ROBBERY -- At 8:30 a.m. a caller reported being robbed near Solano and Santa Fe avenues. The man took the victim's purse and fled in a small red hatchback type car being driven by another person.

  • THEFT -- Officers received a call at 7 p.m. that a man had just stolen a black mountain bike near Brittany Arms on Kains Avenue and was last seen riding north on Stannage Avenue toward Washington Avenue.

    SATURDAY, July 27

  • DUI -- At 11 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 80 near Buchanan Street for a code violation and arrested an Oakland man for suspicion of two counts of DUI.

  • DRUGS -- Shortly before midnight officers stopped a person riding a bicycle near Jackson Street and Washington Avenue for a code violation. They arrested the Richmond man for suspicion of drug possession and a probation violation.

    SUNDAY, July 28

  • DISTURBANCE -- A few minutes after midnight officers responded to a complaint of a very noisy party breaking up on Beverly Place where teenagers appeared to have been drinking. It was also reported that one of the group urinated on the caller's porch. Officers contacted the group and advised them of the complaint.

  • DUI -- At 12:30 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle near Central Avenue and Pierce Street for a code violation and arrested a Richmond man for suspicion of DUI and for driving without a license.

  • VANDALISM -- Vandals damaged rose bushes overnight on Carmel Avenue.
