Championship

Pleasanton Mighty Phantom 9, Almaden Lightning 5: For the Pleasanton Phantom 12B team, Rachel Pettey pitched and held the Lightning scoreless through the first two innings. The Phantom caught fire early and scored early and often thanks to key hits from Abby Curlett, Hope Alley, Michaela Cabral, Aliya Lubrin, Libby Schlag, Kaitlyn Jones, Abby Curlett and Lauren Hermes. Malia Konig and Kaitlyn Jones combined for the final insurance run.

Semifinal

Pleasanton Mighty Phantom 7, Reno All-Stars 1: For the Phantom, pitcher Rachel Pettey dominated. Pettey struck out nine batters and held Reno to just one run. Rachel Pettey, Hope Alley, Aliya Lubrin, Ellen Ebbers, Malia Konig and Lauren Hermes provided the offense.

Bracket play

Pleasanton Mighty Phantom 10, Roseville Thunder 0: The Phantom dominated their first game of bracket play. Libby Schlag earned the win and was stellar in the circle. The offense was provided by Abby Curlett (2 1B), Hope Alley (3B, BB), Michaela Cabral (2 1B, 2B), Lauren Hermes (1B), Aliya Lubrin (2 BB), Brooke Promes (2 1B, 2B), Malia Konig (1B, 2B), Libby Schlag (2 1B).

Pleasanton Phantom 9, Livermore Smoke 0: For the Phantom, Libby Schlag and Hope Alley contributed two-run doubles, and Aliya Lubrin added a two-run triple. Other singles and runs came from Jessica Shockley (2 1B, RBI), Brooke Promes (2 1B), Malia Konig (2 1B, RBI), Ellen Ebbers (1B, RBI), and Michaela Cabral (1B). Schlag pitched well in the shutout victory.

Pleasanton Phantom 9, Pleasant Hill Panthers 8: After trailing 8-6, the Phantom rallied for two runs to win game in dramatic style. Brooke Promes led-off the inning with a double, then stole third before scoring on Aliya Lubrin's single. Then, Ellen Ebbers tied the game with an RBI triple, and Machaela Cabral plated Ebbers with the game-winning base hit. Hope Alley, Libby Schlag and Lauren Hermes also provided key hits and runs. Phantom pitcher, Rachel Pettey, kept the game close throughout.

Pleasanton Phantom 6, Roseville Thunder 5: The Phantom won a nail-biter behind clutch hits from Abby Curlett, Hope Alley (2), Michaela Cabral, Jessica Shockley, Brooke Promes, Ellen Ebbers and Lauren Hermes. With the score tied at 5-5, Kaitlyn Jones smacked a triple, and Ellen Ebbers followed up the game-winning RBI single.

Pleasant Hill Tournament

The Mighty Phantom 12B finished up their summer travel program at the Pleasant Hill Tournament. The Panthers won all three pool play games and defeated their opponents by a combined score of 26-11.

In the semifinal match, the Panthers defeated the Pleasant Hill Panthers, 6-3. Pitcher, Kaitlyn Jones, anchored the defense while the offense was provided by Hope Alley (2 1B, 2 RBI), Abby Curlett (1B, RBI), Lauren Hermes (1B, RBI), Ellen Ebbers (2 1B, RBI), Malia Konig (1B, RBI) and Brooke Promes (1B, 2B).

In the Championship, the Panthers faced off against the San Ramon Stompers and won 17-7. Once again, the Phantom offense was hitting on all cylinders while pitcher, Rachel Pettey, was stellar in the circle. The offense was provided by Kaitlyn Jones (2 1B) Hope Alley (2 1B, R), Libby Schlag (1B, RBI, R, SB), Michaela Cabral (1B, 2 RBI), Abby Curlett (2B), Lauren Hermes (3B), Malia Konig, Aliya Lubrin and Rachel Pettey. Jessica Shockley anchored the defense with several great plays at second base.

The Mighty Phantom played in seven tournaments throughout the summer, and took first place in four tournaments and second place in one. Thanks to the great leadership of Head Coach Pete Schlag, Assistant Coach Shannon Giusti and teamwork the Mighty Phantom had a successful summer season.

Boys (Pleasanton Seahawks results)

10U Division: Jordan Lee achieved a best time in the 50 freestyle and also anchored the relay team, which finished second. Lleyton Plattel finished his last 10U meet with the high point award, and he also set several new team records. Jaewoo Kim earned new best times including a PRT in the 200 freestyle. Alex Ren achieved many new best times and reached the finals in all of his events. Andrew Wang had 100% best times.

11-12 Division: Kyle Kenny had two new best times. Joe Louderback swam in his first final, the 50 butterfly, and Matthew Neufled swam in his first JO meet. Nick Skinner recorded best times in the 50 breaststroke and 100 butterfly. Nick Wonosaputra had 100% best times and swam in his first final. Tim Yao won the 11-12 high point award. Jack Wilkerson 50/100/400 FR New FW.

In the 200 medley relay, the team of Jack Wilkerson, Tim Yao, Joseph Louderback and Kyle Kenny finished second with a time of 2:11.65. In the 200 freestyle relay, Tim Yao, Joseph Louderback, Jack Wilkerson and Kyle Kenny finished fourth with a time of 1:57.83.

13-14 Division: Chris Jhong achieved his first sectional cut in the 400 IM. Niko Cory set a new FW in the 200 breaststroke, and Drew Kobayashi set a new FW in the 50 freestyle, and a new JO time in the 100 freestyle. Wolf Lachance set a new FW in the 200 backstroke, and Michael Martin set a new JO time in the 1500 freestyle, and also a new FW in 200 backstroke. In the 400 freestyle relay, Jonah Cooper, Chris Jhong, Jonathon Mui and Nate Sproul finished third with a time of 4:00.10. In the 200 freestyle relay, Jonah Cooper, Drew Kobayashi, Chris Jhong and Michael Yao finished third with a time of 1:45.57. In the 200 medley relay, Jonah Cooper, Jonathon Mui, Tyler Lu and Audrik Antonio finished second with a time of 1:58.83. In the 200 medley relay "B", the relay team consisting of Chris Jhong, Nikolas Cory, Nate Sproul and Drew Kobayashi finished third with a 2:03.72.

Girls (Pleasanton Seahawks results)

10U Division: Sydney Lu swam a strong 50 butterfly, while teammate Duhita Gondhalekar achieved 100% best times. Olivia Kim had two new best times, and Nicole Stiles had several best times and was also runner-up for the 10U high point award. The medley relay team of Nicole Stiles, Sydney Lu, Olivia Kim and Lauren Jhong placed fourth with a time of 2:37.04, and also set a new team record.

11-12 Division: Lizzie Balacanta and Mackenzie Lee both swam well their first ever 11-12 Division JO meet. Bella Hernandez swam in her first 1500 and had a best time in the 200 backstroke. Fallon Brown had a new FW in the 50 freestyle and also set a new PRT in the 200 and 400 freestyle. Miranda Heckman had her first two sectional cuts in the 400 freestyle and 200 backstroke. Christy Neufeld set a new PRT in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, and Claire Suen set a new PRT in the 200 freestyle and also set a new FW in the 50 backstroke. Paulina Umansky set a new JO time in the 200 freestyle, and also set new FW in the 200 breaststroke. Emma Valentine had a new FW in the 800 freestyle and also set a new PRT in the 1500 freestyle. Nja Zuniga swam to a new PRT in the 50 butterfly. The 400 freestyle relay team consisting of Miranda Heckman, Claire Suen, Fallon Brown and Nawoo Kim set a new PLS record with a time of 4:23.65. The 200 medley relay team of Miranda Heckman Paulina Umansky, Nja Zuniga and Claire Suen set a new PLS record with a time of 2:14.68. The 200 freestyle relay team of Claire Suen, Miranda Heckman, Nja Zuniga and Fallon Brown set a new PLS record with a time of 1:58.30.

13-14 Division: Jennifer Lee set a new JO time in the 50 freestyle, and Vera Umansky swam to a new FW in the 100 backstroke. In the 200 medley relay, the team of Vera Umansky, Amber Fornoles, Samantha Howell and Alexandra Hernandez fininshed third with a time of 2:13.38. In the 200 freestyle relay, Vera Umansky, Jennifer Lee, Alex hernandez and Samantha Howell finished fourth with a time of 1:58.70.
