BERKELEY -- AC Transit and Berkeley invite the public to forums Monday and Thursday to discuss how Line 51 bus service through Oakland and Berkeley could be improved with $10.5 million in regional funds.
The forums will be held in Berkeley from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the La Quinta Inn's Continental Room, 920 University Ave., and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Julia Morgan Theatre, 2640 College Ave.
Transit experts will discuss potential improvements such as shared bus lanes on University Avenue, separate lanes get buses through intersections faster, bus stop relocations, and traffic signal and transit-priority signal-timing improvements.
