Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) hosts "Everything Goes With Black (and White)" month in September. All black and black-and-white pets can be adopted for half the normal fee! These delightful animals are often overlooked in shelters, yet there are many advantages to having one or more in your home.

First, they are always dressed for a formal occasion! You never have to dress up your black-and-white cat or dog. They always have their tuxedo on and are always very distinguished in appearance. FAAS has one dog, Tux, who even has the name to go with his attire! He's a big sweetheart that loves to play and cuddle with you. There are several other black or black-and-white dogs at FAAS that need homes, too.

Second, black and black-and-white pets are among the smartest and friendliest animals you'll ever adopt. Bo Bo and Angel Face are great examples of super intelligent and playful black-and-white kittens waiting for their permanent homes. Third, black and black-and-white pets really do match whatever décor you have in your home. No matter how subtle or bright the colors are in your home, your pet always fits perfectly.

FAAS has 26 black and black-and-white pets ready for adoption. This includes cats, kittens, dogs and one baby guinea pig. Take advantage of September's adoption special and take home a wonderful new formally dressed friend. Black and black-and-white pets at the shelter are looking for love and waiting for you.
