TUESDAY, Sept 17

  • DRUGS -- At 2:30 a.m. officers investigated a vehicle at Golden Gate Fields that had paper plates and was occupied by two people. They arrested a 43-year-old Hayward man for suspicion of drug possession.

  • THIEF -- Security at Target in the 1000 block of Eastshore reported at 10:30 a.m. that a person was in the store who had stolen items in the past. Security requested that officers stand by while the person was told he was no longer welcome in the store. Officers arrested the 34-year-old Richmond man for suspicion of multiple incidents of the same offense.

  • BIKE THIEF -- At 3 p.m. a caller on Talbot Avenue reported that a Specialized 10-speed blue and silver bike had just been stolen.

  • THEFT -- Security at Target on the 1000 block of Eastshore called at 4 p.m. reporting that a person was in the store and consuming food. Officers arrested the 18-year-old El Cerrito man for suspicion of petty theft.

  • WARNING -- Officers warned two people at the dead end of Taft Street at 5 p.m. when a caller complained that they had a tent set up and a charcoal fire going.

  • VANDALISM -- During the day vandals spray-painted slurs on a vehicle at the dead-end of Taft Street and stuffed food in the locks.

    WEDNESDAY, Sept 18

  • DOUBLE ARREST -- At 3 a.m. officers investigated two people acting suspiciously along Cerrito Creek near Interstate 580 and Central Avenue. They arrested a 32-year-old transient woman from Marysville for suspicion of drug possession and resisting or obstructing an officer. They arrested a 23-year-old transient man for suspicion of resisting or obstructing an officer.

  • AUTO BREAK-INS -- Overnight vandals broke into two cars in a carport on Kains Avenue and stole items.

  • EVADING OFFICERS -- Officers arrested a 38-year-old San Pablo man in the 1000 block of San Pablo Avenue at noon for suspicion of delaying or obstructing an officer and attempting to evade an officer.

    THURSDAY, Sept 19

  • ASSISTANCE -- At 12:30 a.m. officers assisted UC Berkeley police in contacting a person at Building 168 on Ohlone Way who was described as naked, holding a flashlight and ringing the doorbell.

  • ASSISTANCE -- Officers did a welfare check at 9 a.m. when a caller reported that an elderly man in a wheelchair wearing a bathrobe and black shoes had been sitting near Evelyn and Solano avenues for more than an hour. Paramedics took the man to a hospital.

  • VERY OLD CASE -- At 9:30 a.m. a person came to the police station to report that on June 24 or June 25, someone punctured a hole in one of his bicycle tires. He had no proof of the vandal, but suspected his neighbor and wanted it reported.

  • PROWLER -- At 3 p.m. a caller reported that her unlocked car was prowled overnight. Nothing appeared to be missing, but the intruder ate some chocolate that had been left inside the car. The caller requested an extra patrol of her area.

    FRIDAY, Sept 20

  • AUTO BREAK-IN -- Property was stolen overnight from a car on Key Route Boulevard.

  • ASSAULT -- At 11:30 a.m. a caller reported witnessing a man push a woman with a baby down in the 1200 block of Brighton Avenue. Officers arrested a 21-year-old Kensington man for suspicion of domestic violence and causing corporal injury.

  • AUTO BREAK-IN -- A rental car in a driveway on Curtis Street was burgled overnight and items were stolen.

  • AUTO BREAK-IN -- Items were stolen overnight from a car on Pomona Avenue.

  • FIGHT -- At 7 p.m. officers were called to assist security in controlling a fight among a large group at Albany Middle School on Brighton Avenue.

    SATURDAY, Sept 21

  • DRUGS -- Officers contacted a person acting suspiciously outside Beverages & More in the 800 block of San Pablo Avenue at 1:30 p.m. They arrested the 71-year-old Oakland man for suspicion of drug possession and an outstanding warrant.

  • CAMPER -- At 4:30 p.m. officers issued a citation to a 40-year-old Berkeley man at Albany Hill Park near the creek for suspicion of illegal camping.

    SUNDAY, Sept 22

  • AUTO BREAK-INS -- Two vehicles on Key Route Boulevard were burgled overnight.

  • TRESPASSING -- At 2 p.m. a resident in the 900 block of Stannage Avenue reported that a man tried to enter her home twice and then was sitting on her stoop. Officers arrested the 28-year-old Vallejo man for disorderly conduct.

  • THIEF -- Officers received a call at 3:30 p.m. from Beverages & More about a person in the store who was stealing items but was still in the store. Officers arrested the 42-year-old El Sobrante man for suspicion of multiple petty theft incidents.

  • TRUCK STOLEN -- A Neilson Street resident reported arriving home at 5:30 p.m. and discovering his truck was stolen.
