MONDAY, Oct. 7

  • THEFT -- At 3:30 p.m. officers responded to Max's Liquors in the 800 block of San Pablo Avenue on reports someone had just stuffed magazines under his clothing and left. Officers arrested the 44-year-old transient man for suspicion of petty theft and repeated arrests for this offense.

    TUESDAY, Oct. 8

  • VANDALISM -- During the night vandals spray painted a rear door at City Hall.

  • THEFT -- A Curtis Street resident reported the theft of five bags of clothing meant for Goodwill from her back yard during the night or early morning.

  • THEFT -- At 8 p.m. a caller from Beverages and More in the 800 block of San Pablo Avenue reported that a woman took alcohol and left the store in a white flatbed rental truck driven by a man. They were last seen heading south on San Pablo Avenue.

    WEDNESDAY, Oct. 9

  • BATTERY -- Albany Bowl reporting a fight in the bar between a man and a woman at 10 p.m. Officers arrested the 36-year-old Oakland man for suspicion of battery.

    FRIDAY, Oct. 11

  • ICE CREAM THIEF -- Officers responding to an 11:30 a.m. report of a stolen ice cream bar from the AM/PM market on San Pablo Avenue located a suspect, a 38-year-old Moraga man, near Solano and Masonic avenues and arrested him for suspicion of petty theft.

  • ARMED ROBBERY -- At 3 p.m. a person in the overflow parking lot at Target reported being robbed at gunpoint while placing bags in the vehicle. Officers located a 27-year-old Richmond man and arrested him for suspicion of burglary, robbery and prior convictions for robbery.

  • SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY -- A Washington Avenue resident reported at 11 p.m. that two women and a man were seen messing with the caller's car and ran off when confronted.

    SATURDAY, Oct. 12

  • DISTURBANCE -- At 1 a.m. officers received a couple of calls about a noise from a Garfield Street residence that sounded like people smashing things. A woman then called to say her boyfriend was trashing her place and threw a TV out the window. Officers arrived and issued a warning to the pair.

  • FIGHT -- At 3 a.m. officers warned two men for fighting and acting disorderly near San Pablo and Portland avenues.

  • AUTO BREAK-IN -- An iPod was stolen overnight from a car on Marin Avenue.

    SUNDAY, Oct. 13

  • DUI -- At 2 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle on San Pablo Avenue near Gilman Street for a vehicle code violation. They arrested the driver, a 31-year-old San Pablo man, for suspicion of two counts of DUI.

  • WARRANT -- At 2:30 a.m. officers arrested a 29-year-old Chowchilla man on San Pablo Avenue near Gilman Street for an outstanding warrant.

  • AUTO RECOVERY -- During the morning hours Target security had a car towed from their parking lot. A check found was it reported stolen from Richmond. The owner was notified.

  • DOUBLE ARREST -- At 11:30 p.m. officers investigated a suspicious vehicle at the Albany waterfront. They arrested a 54-year-old Oakland man and a 52-year-old Oakland woman for suspicion of drug possession and for lying to an officer.
