A 37-year-old man faces multiple charges after he was found with methamphetamine, cash, a digital scale and other evidence of drug dealing, police said.
Officers allegedly found the items after learning the man, who was arrested at 11:05 p.m. Dec. 27 at Concordia Street and Lincoln Avenue, could be searched as a condition of his probation.
The methamphetamine was in individually wrapped bags and the man was carrying additional plastic bags, police said.
Officers initially contacted him as a suspicious person.
TUESDAY, DEC. 24 DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a woman, 32, on suspicion of drunken driving about 2:15 a.m. following a traffic stop about 2400 block of Santa Clara Avenue. Another woman, 24, was arrested on suspicion of the same offense in the 700 block of Santa Clara Avenue. The woman also faces a charge of resisting police after she allegedly attempted to kick out the window of a patrol car while in custody. BURGLARY -- Someone cut the lock of a metal shipping container in the 900 block of Atlantic Avenue and stole tools from inside. Police are classifying the theft, which was reported about 6:35 a.m., as a burglary. IDENTITY THEFT -- A resident of the 3100 block of Fiji Lane told police that someone obtained their banking information and used it to steal money from their account. It was reported at 9:05 a.m.
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 25 ROBBERY -- A purse snatching was reported about 3:35 a.m. in the 300 block of Santa Clara Avenue, police said. GRAND THEFT -- Someone stole a bicycle while it was secured to a second bicycle at a rack in the 2300 block of Central Avenue, police said. The theft was reported about 8:15 p.m. Two additional bikes were reported stolen from the same rack just before 10 p.m.
THURSDAY, DEC. 26 RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- Police arrested a man, 45, on suspicion of vehicle theft about 1:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Park Street after he was allegedly found inside a vehicle reported stolen to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. The man, who was the only person in the vehicle, was also drunk, police said. Police also recovered a vehicle reported stolen in Pleasant Hill just before noon in the 1500 block of Oak Street, where officers found it parked and unoccupied. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA -- Officers dispatched to a disturbance at Park Street and Lincoln Avenue just before 6 a.m. arrested a 21-year-old woman after she was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman was also wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. BURGLARY -- Burglars who entered a residence in the 1100 block of Ninth Street stole keys and the victim's two vehicles, police said. It was reported just before noon.
FRIDAY, DEC. 27 DRUG POSSESSION -- Police arrested a man, 23, following a traffic stop about 12:10 a.m. in the 2300 block of Otis Drive, where he was allegedly found in possession of suspected heroin and cocaine, as well as a methamphetamine pipe. He was also in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, police said. BURGLARY -- Someone used a drill to break into an ATM inside a laundromat in the 1100 block of Park Street. The business was open during the theft, which was reported about 4:10 p.m. PETTY THEFT -- A 32-year-old woman was arrested about 9:10 p.m. after she shoplifted merchandise at Kohl's at Alameda South Shore Center, police said. Security guards detained the woman as she exited the store and placed her under citizen's arrest/
SATURDAY, DEC. 28 DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a woman, 43, on suspicion of drunken driving following a traffic stop about 1:40 a.m. in the 2300 block of Encinal Avenue. Police also arrested a man for the same offense about 11:35 p.m. at Willow Street and Lincoln Avenue, where he was involved in a traffic accident. VEHICLE BURGLARY -- Vehicles belonging to three people were broken into in the 500 block of Buena Vista Avenue. Police learned about the thefts about 8:20 a.m. ATTEMPTED GRAND THEFT -- Someone attempted to steal an outboard motor from a boat in the 1800 block of Clement Avenue. The attempted was reported about 2:20 p.m. ROBBERY -- A 21-year-old man accused of shoplifting at Nob Hill on Blanding Avenue faces a robbery charge after he struggled with two security guards as they tried to detain him, including punching one in the face, police said. A witness also helped detain the man, who was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Along with robbery, the man was booked on suspicion of violating his probation, police said.
SUNDAY, DEC. 29 VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicles were reported stolen at 2:55 p.m. in the 2500 block of Webb Avenue and about 8:40 p.m. in the 1300 block of Fountain Street.
