MONDAY, Jan. 13

  • DRUGS -- At 11:30 p.m. officers arrested a 49-year-old Richmond man near Solano and Santa Fe avenues for suspicion of two counts of drug possession.

    TUESDAY, Jan. 14

  • DRUGS -- Shortly after midnight officers contacted two people in the parking lot of Golden Gate Fields who were acting suspiciously. They arrested the 25-year-old Alameda man and the 26-year-old Vallejo woman for suspicion of two counts of drug possession.

  • FIRE -- Firefighters responded to a call regarding a car on fire on Cleveland Avenue near Interstate 80 at 8 a.m.

  • THEFT -- A resident on Hillside Avenue reported that during the night unknown thieves pried open a mailbox and stole its contents.

  • THEFT -- A resident on Taft Street reported that sometime during the day thieves opened UPS packages that were on the porch and stole the contents. The resident said that this occurred last week also.

  • DRUGS -- Officers contacted a person in the 900 block of San Pablo Avenue at 6:30 p.m. who appeared to be acting suspiciously. They arrested the 48-year-old Oakland man for suspicion of drug possession and a probation violation.

  • AUTO THEFT -- At 7:30 p.m. a car was reported stolen from the Target parking lot on Eastshore.

  • HOME BREAK-IN -- Sometime during the night or early morning hours a Brighton Avenue home was burgled.

    WEDNESDAY, Jan. 15

  • THEFT -- At 12:30 p.m. officers arrested a 49-year-old Daly City man at Target for suspicion of petty theft when he attempted to steal alcohol.

    THURSDAY, Jan. 16

  • DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle on San Pablo Avenue near Garfield Street at 2 a.m. for a vehicle code violation. They arrested the 33-year-old Richmond man for suspicion of DUI and driving with a suspended license.

  • BURGLARY -- Officers responded to the 900 block of Taylor Street at 10 a.m. on reports of two people who had stolen cell phones. They located a 23-year-old San Pablo man on Jackson Street and a 21-year-old Hayward woman in the 900 block of Taylor Street and arrested them both for suspicion of burglary and conspiracy.

  • DISTURBANCE -- At 7 p.m. officers issued a warning to two men at Golden Gate Fields who were causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.

  • DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE -- Officers responded to a Kains Avenue residence at 9:30 p.m. when a woman called to report that her boyfriend was yelling, throwing things and out of control. They both had been drinking but now she wanted to go to sleep. Officers separated the two and peace was restored.

    FRIDAY, Jan. 17

  • DUI -- At 2 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of San Pablo Avenue for a vehicle code violation. They arrested a 37-year-old Oakland man for suspicion of two counts of DUI.

  • DRUGS -- Officers contacted two people near Washington and San Pablo avenues at 11:30 a.m. who appeared to be acting suspiciously. They arrested a 38-year-old transient man from Redding for suspicion of possession of drugs for sale and possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle. They also arrested a 42-year-old transient woman from Redding for suspicion of two counts of drug possession.

    SATURDAY, Jan. 18

  • DISTURBANCE -- At 2 a.m. officers issued a warning to three men who had been drinking and were causing a disturbance near Madison Street when a caller complained.

  • PROTESTERS -- During the night and morning hours officers received complaints about protesters camped out on Solano Avenue near Ordway.

  • DRUGS -- At 11:30 p.m. officers investigated a person in the 1000 block of San Pablo Avenue who was acting suspiciously. They arrested the 48-year-old Albany man for suspicion of drug possession and a probation violation.

    SUNDAY, Jan. 19

  • DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle on San Pablo Avenue near Washington Avenue at 1:30 a.m. for a vehicle code violation. They arrested a 29-year-old El Sobrante woman for suspicion of two counts of DUI.

  • DUI -- At 2:30 a.m. officers arrested a 34-year-old Oakland man in the 500 block of Buchanan Street for suspicion of two counts of DUI.

  • CONCERN -- At 8:30 a.m. a caller reported that a transient looking man was sleeping on a bench at Ocean View Park and he had a very nice looking bicycle with a buggy attached. The caller was concerned that the bike was obviously stolen because it was too nice for a vagrant and wanted officers to return it to the rightful owner. Officers found everything to be in order and no action was taken.

  • TRESPASSING -- Officers received a call at 10 p.m. regarding a woman lying on the front lawn of a residence in the 1100 block of Portland Avenue and making noise. Officers arrested the 46-year-old Albany woman for suspicion of disorderly conduct.

    MONDAY, Jan. 20

  • DISTURBANCE -- At 4:30 a.m. officers responded to Happy Donuts on San Pablo Avenue when employees complained that a man was cursing and scaring customers and refusing to leave. Officers issued a warning to the man and he left.
