Albany police log: Cars blocking driveways towed; theft arrests at Target; tools pilfered from plumbing company van

MONDAY, Jan. 27 DOUBLE ARREST -- Officers arrested an 18-year-old Oakland woman and a 20-year-old Oakland man at Target in the 1000 block of Eastshore at about 2:30 p.m. for suspicion of burglary and conspiracy when security reported them. TRESPASSING -- At 4:30 p.m. officers responded to Casper's Hot Dogs when employees complained that a man who appeared to have been drinking was lying behind a tree in the parking lot and staggering into the business. Officers arrested the 31-year-old Albany man for suspicion of disorderly conduct.
TUESDAY, Jan. 28 THEFT -- A $6,000 giant TCR SL 1 black and blue boys 20-speed bike was stolen from a garage on Hillside Avenue overnight. CAR TOWED -- A vehicle was towed from the Sizzler parking lot at 3:30 p.m. WARRANT -- At about 11:30 p.m. officers arrested a 21-year-old Richmond man near San Pablo Avenue and Clay Street for an outstanding warrant.
WEDNESDAY, Jan. 29 AUTO BREAK-IN -- During the day a red van belonging to a plumbing company was burglarized and tools were stolen. THEFT -- A folding bike, valued at about $150 and locked with a kryptonite chain lock to a bike rack near the Albany High School gymnasium was stolen during the day.
THURSDAY, Jan. 30 THEFT -- A stereo unit was stolen overnight from a car parked on Stannage Avenue. DISTURBANCE -- At 11 a.m. officers warned a man who was yelling at people on Buchanan Street near Jackson Street.
FRIDAY, Jan. 31 DUI -- At 2 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle on San Pablo Avenue near Carlson Boulevard for a vehicle code violation and arrested a 26-year-old San Pablo man for suspicion of DUI. TOW #1 -- A vehicle blocking a driveway on San Pablo Avenue was towed at 7 a.m. TOW #2 -- An abandoned vehicle near Buchanan and Adams streets was towed at 9 a.m. TOW #3 -- At 7 p.m. a vehicle blocking a driveway on Ramona Avenue was towed.
SATURDAY, Feb. 1 DUI -- A caller reported seeing a motorist who appeared to be intoxicated leave the Safeway parking lot at 12:30 a.m. and drive across Marin Avenue. Officers located the vehicle and arrested a 55-year-old Reno man for suspicion of DUI. DUI -- A 26-year-old man was arrested on Buchanan Street for suspicion of DUI at 2 a.m. DUI -- At about 11:30 p.m. officers arrested a 53-year-old Oakland man near Buchanan and Fillmore streets for suspicion of driving with a suspended license and for DUI. AUTO BREAK-IN -- A vehicle on Evelyn Avenue was broken into during the night.
SUNDAY, Feb. 2 DUI -- At 5:30 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Buchanan Street for a vehicle code violation. They arrested a 23-year-old Hercules woman for suspicion of two counts of DUI. BURGLARY -- A 26-year-old Richmond woman and a 39-year-old Richmond man were arrested at Target in the 1000 block of Eastshore at 2 p.m. for suspicion of burglary and robbery. WARRANT -- At 4 p.m. a 47-year-old San Francisco woman was arrested near Target for an outstanding warrant. DRUGS -- At 8:30 p.m. officers investigated a person acting suspiciously at the Albany waterfront. They arrested the 61-year-old transient man for suspicion of two counts of drug possession.
MONDAY, Feb. 3 WARRANT -- A 20-year-old Albany man was arrested in the 900 block of Buchanan Street at 1:30 a.m. for an outstanding warrant. DRUGS -- At 1 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle near Central and Jacuzzi streets for a vehicle code violation. They arrested the 38-year-old Richmond man for suspicion of DUI and drug possession.
