LIVERMORE -- Las Positas College's Veterans First program will honor the contributions made by women in the military with a free event at the college on March 20.

In conjunction with Women's Military History Week, the program's second annual "Honoring Women Veterans" event will feature a keynote address by Mary King, an Army veteran and West Point graduate who is currently chief of staff to the president of PG&E. A panel discussion follows, featuring female veterans from different conflicts.

The talk and discussion takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the campus' Little Theater, Building 800, and is free and open to the public. Parking is $2. A free lunch will be provided to those attending.
