Friday, Feb. 28

  • 1:49 p.m. -- Kingston Avenue. Police recovered a stolen vehicle that was returned to its owner.

  • 7:05 p.m. -- Fairview Avenue. Someone broke a window and burglarized a residence, stealing undisclosed items.

    Saturday, March 1

  • 11:04 a.m. -- Selborne Drive. Identity theft was reported.

    Sunday, March 2

  • 7:57 a.m. -- La Salle Avenue. Someone broke the rear window of a vehicle. Nothing was reported missing.

  • 10:38 a.m. -- Oakland. Someone struck a parked vehicle the night prior.

  • 10:58 a.m. -- Park Way. A stolen vehicle was reported.

  • 3:27 p.m. -- St. James Drive. Someone broke a window of a parked vehicle and stole an iPod.

    Monday, March 3

  • 7:46 a.m. -- Lake Avenue. A resident turned in a pistol for destruction.

  • 5:02 p.m. -- Carmel Avenue. Someone spotted an opossum.

  • 4:09 p.m. -- Sandringham Road. Someone stole a bank statement from a mailbox and wrote an estimated $2,000 worth of checks.

  • 8:43 p.m. -- Hampton Road/King Avenue. An officer detected the scent of marijuana in a vehicle.

    Wednesday, March 5

  • 1:19 p.m. -- Magnolia Avenue. Graffiti was discovered on one of the high school buildings.

  • 1:52 p.m. -- Highland Avenue. Someone reported a lost iPhone, noting that someone had tried to use it.

    Thursday, March 6

  • undisclosed time -- An Oakland man, 19, was arrested for his suspected involvement in an armed home-invasion robbery that occurred on the morning of Jan. 21 on Arroyo Avenue. Police had secured a warrant Feb. 28 and detained him at a state parole office in Stockton. People with any information about the case are urged to contact Detective Willie Wright at 510-420-3013.

  • 8:56 a.m. -- Rose Avenue. A motorist struck a parked Mercedes and drove off.
