A man driving a stolen car drove through a red light and about four stop signs as officers tried to detain him and his passenger, police said.

The 19-year-old also attempted to run off after crashing the vehicle before he was arrested about 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Crolls Garden Court.

Along with vehicle theft, the man was arrested on suspicion of resisting or obstructing police and violating his probation.

THURSDAY, MARCH 6

  • BURGLARY -- A computer and paintings were stolen during a burglary in the 1800 block of Moreland Drive. The thief entered via an unlocked front door. It was reported at 12:10 p.m.

  • CHECK FRAUD -- Police arrested a 34-year-old man just after 5 p.m. after he allegedly tried to cash a fictitious check at a business in the 1400 block of Webster Street. The man was also wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

  • PETTY THEFT -- A security guard detained and placed a woman under citizen's arrest about 6:15 p.m. after she shoplifted merchandise at Kohl's at Alameda South Shore Center by concealing the items in her purse, police said. Officers released her at the scene with a citation to appear in court on a petty theft charge.

    FRIDAY, MARCH 7

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- Police arrested a man, 33, following a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Park Street, where he was allegedly found in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Officers initially arrested him on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and found the methamphetamine while searching his vehicle as part of impounding it, police said. It happened about 1:20 a.m. Another man, 44, was arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal narcotics about 1:55 p.m. in the 1800 block of Webster Street, where officers initially detained him for public intoxication.

  • RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- Police recovered a vehicle stolen in Oakland in the 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue at 2:35 a.m.

  • BURGLARY -- A burglar is believed to have entered a residence in the 1000 block of Otis Drive via a sliding rear door, police said. No items were stolen, however. It was reported about 2:50 p.m.

  • PROBATION VIOLATION -- Police arrested a 22-year-old cyclist following a traffic stop just before 5 p.m. in the 1600 block of Webster Street, where a background revealed that was wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The man was also on probation and was detained directly in front of a business where the court had ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from. Police also arrested a cyclist, 41, following another traffic stop about 11:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of Oak Street, where he was allegedly found in possession of suspected marijuana.

    SATURDAY, MARCH 8

  • RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- Police recovered a vehicle stolen in Berkeley in the 200 block of Beach Road about 11:30 a.m.

  • ROBBERY -- Police arrested two juveniles on suspicion of strong arm robbery about 1:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of Sherman Street. The boy and girl are accused of holding down the victim, hitting her and stealing her wallet.

  • PETTY THEFT -- A woman arrested on suspicion of shoplifting items at Nob Hill on Blanding Avenue was also in possession of drug paraphernalia and was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant, police said. The woman, 51, was also in possession of a vehicle registration tab that did not belong to her and provided false information about herself when she was detained, police said. A security guard at the store placed the woman under citizen's arrest about 5:10 p.m. Another woman, 59, was arrested about 9:50 p.m. on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from the same business. The woman was on probation for a previous petty theft conviction when she was arrested, police said.

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- Police arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale and a pipe for smoking the substance at 11:40 p.m. in the 2500 block of Clement Avenue.

    SUNDAY, MARCH 9

  • UNDER THE INFLUENCE -- A 26-year-old man who officers contacted while investigating a report of a suspicious person was arrested after he allegedly appeared to be under the influence of narcotic stimulant. The arrest occurred about 1:20 p.m. at High Street and Fernside Boulevard. Another man, 56, was arrested about 10:25 p.m. at Campus Drive and Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway, where an officer detained him while riding a bicycle during a traffic stop and found him in possession of suspected cocaine, police said.
