EPE USA Nationals 8, Funtime Photo Booth Yankees 3: Yankees Ameer Omar pitched three solid innings, and Aaron Garcia backed him up in the field by throwing out a runner at third. Sean MacKenzie led the offense and scored the lone run. For the Nationals, Willie Stargell, Roberto Clemente and Donn Clendenon each drove in a run. Shortstop Gene Alley and second baseman Bill Mazeroski combined for three double plays.
Litho Process Twins 7, Seelenbacher Jewelers Red Sox 1: For the Twins, Max Nyrop pitched six innings and struck out 10. Sam Silberstein crushed an RBI double, Nyrop added two hits, and K.W. Quilici crossed the plate twice. For the Red Sox, Joe Gibbons struck out 12 batters and drove in Darren Taira, who reached base twice, for the lone run.
Litho Process Twins 17, McGuiness and Northridge Marlins 3: K.W. Quilici struck out eight batters, and at the plate hit a home run to go along with seven RBIs. Jacob Morgan and Michael Shih each scored three times for the Twins. For the Marlins, Hadi Shanaa struck out eight batters and Aeneas Pardo, Diego Ottaviano, and Trace Tega each had a base hit.
Litho Process Twins 1, Funtime Photobooth Yankees 0: Max Nyrop went the distance, striking out 13 as the Twins squeaked past the Yankees. A.J. Silberstein plated Jonathan Andrews for the only run of the game. For the Yankees, David Thomas allowed no hits over through the first three innings. Thomas hit a double, Aaron Garcia singled, and also pitched final two innings.
Dr. Vicki Wang Orthodontics Storm 11, Shooting Stars Mud Hens 10: Bowen Sande pitched two scoreless innings for the Storm, while Robel Binyam, Teru Khan, and Paul Verdick collected two hits apiece. For the Mud Hens, Patrick Baggett pitched a scoreless inning and Jason Javandel and Eliab Yared both hit solid line drive hits.
Makman & Matz LLP Rattlers 10, Little House Cafe Stars 1: Pitcher's Eli Jones, Luke McCormick, and Jason Cibull allowed just one run throughout the game. Caleb Amayo Hassan, Konrad Matz, Scottie Rapposelli, and Ben Garcia all contributed multiple RBIs. Rahul Sharma scored the Stars' first run of the season, and David Costa was solid at the plate. Dylan Mochizuki pitched well.
Vator Express 6, Dr. Johnson & Dr. Jolley Orthodontics/Anabiosis CPR/First Aid Training Iron Pigs 2: Owen DeCourcy broke open a 2-2 tie with a clutch RBI single for the Vator Express. Zach Hayward recorded six strikeouts on the mound, and catcher Mateo Hamilton threw out a runner at second base to end the game. For the Iron Pigs, strong pitching from Ryan Chang, Ben Flournoy and Brandon Gross kept the game close. Luis Licea made several nice plays in the outfield, and Kory Choy paced the Iron Pigs offense.
Alamo Capital RiverDogs 12, Shooting Stars Mud Hens 7: Jacob Goodman led the RiverDogs offense with an RBI single to right field, and Nathan Kent added an RBI single into center. Defensively, Peyton Fare made a great catch on a line drive to left field, and C.J. Collins and Diego Ortiz each pitched two strong innings. For the Mud Hens, Patrick Bagget pitched two scoreless innings, while Jessy Lopez led the offense with two hits.
Vator Express 19, Little Café Stars 11: For the Express, Justin Blake cleared the bases with a three-run triple, and pitcher Jonathan Schnoebelen struck out seven. Nicolas Ignaszewski added an RBI double and a single up the middle. For the Stars, Nicholas Bellinger went 2 for 2 with an RBI, David Costa went 3 for 3, and Michael Montes contributed an RBI single. Hector Duarte and Nick Rondenet both turned in great plays in the field.
Baron's Meat and Poultry Dragons 6, Scolari's Good Eats Bats 4: The Dragon's Shaan Castro pitched two scoreless innings, while Dayron Ricabal paced the offense with an RBI triple. Jeevan Mahl pitched two scoreless innings in relief to preserve the win. The Bats pitcher's Ahadu Zemenfes, Aaron Leung and Issac Yoon kept the game within reach and combined for 14 strikeouts. Offensively, the Bats relied on heads up base running from Walker Keating, Joey Fedor and Fionn Meagher.
Red Onion Rock Hounds 11, Alamo Capital Riverdogs 3: Tyler Ray led the Rock Hounds with three hits and two hitless innings on the mound. The defense was anchored by Kenji Yee, who picked off a runner attempting to steal third. The Riverdogs were led by Nathan Kent, who hit a double off the fence. Defensively, Payton Fare threw out a runner from third base and Diego Ortiz pitched two scoreless innings, including five strikeouts.
Blue Dot Cafe Volcanoes 10, Parents' Press Mets 9: The Volcanoes' Andre Kong (3 for 3) and Jake Morgan (2 for 2) led the offense. Morgan also recorded an unassisted double play at first. James Witherspoon made a key stop at third base to hold the runners and keep the game within reach. The entire Mets lineup put the ball in play, with Joshua Lafontaine (2 for 2, R) leading the way. Jeremy Harris anchored the defense with two unassisted putouts, and Ryan Nguyen played a great all-around game.
Alameda Elks Lodge 1015 Muckdogs 21, Maureen Shandobil Harbor Bay Raptors 4: The Muckdogs' Cruz Kelly and Jacob Hirano showed off their power with two doubles off the fence. David McNamara and Gavin Pryor each made key defensive stops. The Raptors' Sophia Stento and Tyler Ma. Santiago Enanoria turned a double play at first base.
Blue Dot Cafe Volcanoes 19, Alameda Family Dentistry Grasshoppers 18: The Volcanoes' Eric Soltero went 2 for 3 and turned in an excellent defensive game. Preston DeCourcy hit the game tying two-run double in the sixth. Elliot Cevallos scored the game-winning run on Andre Kong's stand-up double. The entire Grasshoppers lineup reached base safely in the game, and William Hester and William Kelly scored three runs each.
Alameda Collision' and Repair's Lugnuts 17, Kelly Lux Insurance's Iron Birds 9: Lugnuts' Oliver Suer and Jacob Hodges each had two hits. Dylan Watt made a great defensive play on the mound. For the Iron Birds, Edward Gross turned in strong defense shortstop and pitcher, while Daniel Kinna (2 for 2, R) led the offense.
Alameda Elks Lodge 1015 Muckdogs 16, King of Thai Noodle House TinCaps 10: The Muckdogs were led by Matthew Thornton (3 for 3) and outfielder Miles Roorda, who made a strong throw to shortstop Austin Hensley, for an out at second. Keanu Hennings paced the TinCaps offense with two doubles. Antionio Arevalo added a base hit and scored a run, while Porter Starnes fought off the sun to make a difficult catch on a pop fly. Arevalo also made two big plays at third base.
Kelly Lux Insurance Ironbirds 13, Parent's Press Mets 9: For the Mets, Blake Friedman and Edison Gould both turned in several defensive plays, while Colin Pero and Jordan Grassman both went 3 for 3. For the Ironbirds, Max Martinez and Keegan German led the offense with solid hits, while Aryan Panchal and Eddie Gross displayed solid fielding.
Blue Dot Café Volcanoes 31, Alameda Collision and Repair Lugnuts 12: The Lugnuts' Elijah Lee went 3 for 3 with two doubles, and Jonah Abrami chipped in with two hits. Leo Paredes recorded an unassisted double play. The Volcanoes put together a solid team effort with every player contributing at least two hits and two RBIs. Preston DeCourcy, Finian Depew, Jack Hume, Sam Paskins and William Thompson each had five hits apiece.
Owlz 4, King of Thai Noodle House TinCaps 3: For the TinCaps, Gaelen Dudley paced the offense with three hits, including a double. Marcus Finch also chipped in with an RBI double. Turner Smith added two hits and also made two important outs in the field. For the Owlz, Josh Howard hit two singles and drove in the game-winning run. Teammate Eli Slez added an RBI single, and Max Olsen recorded a crucial out in the final inning. Mateo Delgado, Will Roizen and Zachary Patterson-Golay also contributed base hits.
Sports Authority Red Sox, Dr. William Paden's Athletics: For the Red Sox, Zachary Akers-Turner went 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Alexander Kientz's play at short stop resulted in an out and Marco Puertas knocked down a line-drive for an out at first. For the A's, Alijah Meadows hit an RBI double to left and Bodhi Tarrant-Weber recorded unassisted outs at first and third.
TMS Automotive Yankees vs Guaranteed Orioles: The Yankees' Logan Lee and Mikey Baum both scored in the first inning. Ethan Low hustled for a single and Grayson Nguyen made an excellent play at third base. For the Orioles, Kandan Saheba, Christopher Cravalho, Damian Senna and Jet Chan had two hits apiece. Both Grant Tomono and Hunter Willett recorded multiple outs at third.
Central Plumbing D'backs, Advisory Consulting Rockies: For the D'Backs,
Jayven Franklin went 2 for 2 and Giovanni Aguirre hit a double. For the Rockies, Kevin Schultz recorded two outs with strong throws, while Wallace Ruan and Will Jensen paced the offense with two hits a piece.
Bladium Crossfit Braves/Cerda-Zen Real Estate Cubs: For the Braves, Mason Daon, Aubrie Grimes, Kathan Tran, and Niko Quale led the offense with run-scoring hits. For the Cubs, Gavin Certa-Zein, Xander Chooey-Chea, Aiden Kwan, and Jaden Noonan paced the offense with multiple hits and RBIs.
